The juxtaposition of long time vs. short time came very easily to me, because I knew that I wanted to work with the idea of stars. Because according to scientists, the stars that we look at in the night sky in our "real time" are now dead because of the time it takes like to travel. So in however many light years it takes for us to see something, it has already disappeared and died. Though a dying star isn't a quick process, a battery can die very quickly. A man made device made from the "latest and greatest technology" can barely last a few days, before flickering off and dying. Overall, I was very pleased with how they came out, although I'm not sure if the message was conveyed properly to the audience.
